How to apply

Applications for Texas Cyber Command positions are submitted through the CAPPS Careers platform (opens in new tab), the State of Texas hiring system. Candidates create a CAPPS Careers account and complete the State of Texas Application for Employment. A resume is not accepted in place of the state application.

    Create a CAPPS Careers account

    You must create a new account on the CAPPS Careers platform before you can apply, even if you have applied for a State of Texas job in the past.

    Find the posting

    Search the CAPPS Careers platform by role title or Job ID to find Texas Cyber Command postings.

  3. 03

    Complete the State of Texas Application for Employment

    List all relevant education and experience. Incomplete applications may be rejected, and a resume is not accepted in place of the state application. Answer any supplemental questions included with the posting.

  4. 04

    Submit before the closing date

    Applications must be submitted before the closing date listed for the position. You can track your application status in your CAPPS Careers profile.
