Cybersecurity Transition to the Texas Cyber Command
House Bill 150 (89R) transferred the Department of Information Resources' (DIR's) cybersecurity functions to the Texas Cyber Command. Cybersecurity services continue without interruption during this transition.
A centralized authority for state cybersecurity
The 89th Texas Legislature established the Texas Cyber Command (TXCC) through House Bill 150 to strengthen statewide cybersecurity operations and transfer cybersecurity functions to TXCC from the Department of Information Resources (DIR). TXCC now serves as the state's single, focused authority for cybersecurity functions.
