The Texas Cyber Command is the state's centralized authority for cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, incident response, and digital forensics, protecting the people, government, and critical infrastructure of Texas.
Why Texas needs a Cyber Command
As the world's eighth-largest economy (opens in new tab), Texas presents an attractive target for nation-state actors, ransomware groups, and other cyber adversaries. Critical infrastructure such as energy, water, transportation, finance, and government services depends on networks that face constant pressure from increasingly sophisticated threats.
Signed into law in June 2025, House Bill 150 established the Texas Cyber Command as a first-of-its-kind state agency dedicated to safeguarding Texans from these threats. The Command consolidates cybersecurity functions previously distributed across state government into a single, focused authority with the scale and mandate to act decisively.
We are building this agency now. Our doors are open, our leadership is in place, and our operational units are being stood up over the coming months. This site will grow alongside the Command itself.

Commemorating 250 years of American independence
On July 4, 2026, the United States marked 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Texas Cyber Command joins state agencies across Texas in commemorating this milestone through the Texas America250 Commission.
